Imagine meeting someone that you would like to get to know better… someone that you think you could have real feelings for. But you believe that you aren’t going to get anywhere with it. You believe that you are meant to fail at it. Those beliefs will influence your conversations and your actions. Your lack of confidence and fear and doubt will come across, and it will be the thing that sends up warning signs for the person you are interested in. I’m not saying go in all cocky and act like it’s happening before it does, because that will often bring about a bad result. But I’d say open your mind, believe that the person is out there for you, put yourself out there, and then when you meet someone you are interested in just BE YOURSELF (be the best “you” that you can be too). Don’t have expectations of any kind, good or bad. Let it unfold on its own, and when it does, if it’s the right person for you then it WILL happen for you. God bless and good luck to you :-)
