I drifted away from her.

35 I had stage 4 cancer, told I had weeks to live and placed on palliative care. I chose to bury the hatchet after getting everything off my chest. Plenty of tears, shouting and arguing but after the dust settled things got better. A trial with 4 types a chemo over 7 months kept me alive. I have a few issues but I am here and my relationship with my mother is now good. It took me to nearly die for me to make it up with her. Don’t let that happen to you guys. Xxx

Yes that has been harsh, I am normally extra polite but this really hit a nerve. I am not that close with my mum anymore because of the type of behavior you are showing. I didn’t care what she thought after a while and everything worked out well for me. Your son could be the best step dad in the world and give a child something they would not have had. You for selfish reasons referee to see the good in what he is doing. That will drive a wedge, you need to grow up here and change your own mindset or you will lose him.

Imagine meeting someone that you would like to get to know better… someone that you think you could have real feelings for. But you believe that you aren’t going to get anywhere with it. You believe that you are meant to fail at it. Those beliefs will influence your conversations and your actions. Your lack of confidence and fear and doubt will come across, and it will be the thing that sends up warning signs for the person you are interested in. I’m not saying go in all cocky and act like it’s happening before it does, because that will often bring about a bad result. But I’d say open your mind, believe that the person is out there for you, put yourself out there, and then when you meet someone you are interested in just BE YOURSELF (be the best “you” that you can be too). Don’t have expectations of any kind, good or bad. Let it unfold on its own, and when it does, if it’s the right person for you then it WILL happen for you. God bless and good luck to you :-)

women who will empty my wallet.

Now IF she’s a lawyer or a dentist with good salary then it’s totally OK, because she can support herself and pay for her own stuff, BUT if she has a regular/middle class job..then this a a HUGE RED flag.
I hate women who sit with her cellphone the whole day, chat, watch Facebook, Instagram and make selfies every 5–10 minutes. RED FLAG.
Women who touch their hair 26x times in 1 minute…OMG, Or women who look at them self when they pass a mirror or a reflecting glass window/door…you kill me.
I watch how she walks, talks and if she has a sense of humor, THIS for me is super important. I look for things that are cute NOW but will kill me after 1–2 years…example, a woman who giggles on everything I say, I mean like non stop. I even smell her perfume she wears…

The best example I have is an athletic one. I used to referee soccer at all levels- Rec, comp, select, premier. One of my fellow referees had a son who was amazing and destined for greatness in soccer. Major university teams were looking at him for big time scholarships. After high school graduation, he just stopped playing. In talking to his dad, the kid had spent every weekend since he was 5 or 6 playing soccer. He had spent most afternoons practicing. All he had done was soccer. He figured he had missed a lot just playing soccer. He was done.

The real equivalent is called Spotify, and it’s the best alternative because it works both on Androids and Apple devices, as well as basically everything else.
