Personally, I wouldn’t trust a Catholic priest to give me directions to the boy’s room. And, if I were a young boy, I certainly wouldn’t let him show me. But, maybe those Catholic leaders who formed the RCC were different?

And finally, the Jesus portrayed in the Bible needs a lot of liberal interpretation to be a wise man and a role model. Christians as a whole have not found it possible, or desirable, to followed the strict interpretations. Especially, not the church that spread the Jesus myth to the western world. The parables of Jesus are bad examples as rules for human behavior, and no society has ever been able to make his “turn the other cheek” idea work. Much of the message of the Biblical Jesus is about obedience and submission. Characteristic that are not reliably beneficial.
